The Indian High Commission in Canberra has welcomed Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's remarks on India, highlighting the growing strength of the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Albanese praised India as one of the largest growing economies and emphasized the importance of the Indian diaspora in strengthening Australia.
He also looked forward to hosting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the second time, highlighting the million-strong Indian Australian community as the largest growing migrant community in Australia.
Meanwhile, PM Modi met Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong to discuss the growing India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a focus on areas such as defence, trade, technology, and ensuring supply chain resilience.
The two leaders agreed to continue working towards a free, open, secure, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.
