Noted writer Taslima Nasreen, who has been living in exile in India, has shared a chilling account of the events leading up to the murder. According to Nasreen, the victim, 25-year-old Dipu Chandra Das, was forced to resign from his job by the factory manager in Mymensingh's Bhaluka area. He was then handed over to a mob waiting outside, who allegedly believed he had made derogatory remarks about the Prophet of Islam.
