A Belgian court has heard arguments for the extradition of fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi, with the Indian side presenting evidence against him.
The court's decision will be sent to the interior ministry, which may take at least a month to decide on the extradition.
Choksi's legal team has urged the Antwerp court not to extradite him, citing concerns over a potential political trial in India and risk of torture.
However, the Belgian Supreme Court had earlier rejected Choksi's appeal against his arrest, ruling that his claims were not factual.
Choksi is being held in a prison in Antwerp following his arrest at India's request, and Indian investigators have accused him of six bank frauds involving nearly ₹13,000 crore.
