A young tech couple from Telangana, Hyderabad allegedly died by suicide at their house in Bengaluru, police said on Tuesday.

The incident took place on Monday night at a residential building. The woman, 31, returned home around 9:45 pm but found the apartment locked from inside.

Despite repeated attempts, her husband did not respond, and she sought help from neighbours and the building’s security staff.

When they managed to access the apartment, her 32-year-old husband was found dead inside.

Police said within minutes of witnessing the scene, the woman allegedly rushed out and jumped from the 17th floor of the apartment building, leading to her instant death.

A suicide note from the husband revealed depression and marital discord as key reasons behind his decision.

The couple was originally from Siddipet in Telangana and both worked as tech professionals in separate private firms in Bengaluru.

The husband had previously worked in the United States with an annual package of around ₹80 lakh but lost his job due to AI-related factors.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths, including the sequence of events and the factors that may have contributed to the incident.
