Bihar CM Unveils Ambitious Plan to Boost Youth Employment and Growth

In a bid to provide jobs to one crore youth in the next five years, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced the creation of three new departments. The Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department, the Higher Education Department, and the Civil Aviation Department will work towards empowering the state's youth with skills, quality education, and employment opportunities. The new departments aim to address key challenges in the state. The Higher Education Department will focus on improving learning outcomes, promoting research, and developing vocational education. Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Department will drive the growth of the aviation sector, creating new employment opportunities and boosting exports. To support entrepreneurship and small businesses, the state will establish a separate directorate for micro, small, and medium enterprises. Additionally, the Bihar Marketing Promotion Corporation will be set up to enhance the availability, quality, and distribution of products such as agriculture, handicrafts, and food processing. A key component of the plan is the establishment of mega skill centres in every district, which will provide job opportunities for a large number of youth. The chief minister has emphasized the importance of skill development and training in achieving the target of providing jobs to one crore youth in the next five years.
