A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader has responded to a viral video of a woman confronting him over traffic chaos during a protest in Mumbai.

Girish Mahajan, a BJP leader, said the woman could have expressed her anger in a different manner, adding that he and other BJP leaders maintained a calm and composed tone during the rally.

The incident took place during a rally linked to the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, where the woman angrily called out the disruption caused by the march, triggering a wider debate over public inconvenience during protests.

Mahajan said the woman could have filed a complaint with the police instead of confronting him, and that the police tried to counsel her.

He also claimed that the route for the march was pre-decided and the planning was already in place, and that proper care will be taken during future marches and protests.
