AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal is once again at the center of a controversy surrounding his residence, with the BJP slamming him for living 'lavishly' in his new bungalow at Lodhi Estate, dubbing it 'Sheesh Mahal 2'.
The BJP's attack was led by Delhi's public works department minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, who displayed photos of the bungalow and claimed that 'private money' was spent to create some amenities.
Verma alleged that Kejriwal had prepared 'Sheesh Mahal 2' after being forced out of the original 'Sheesh Mahal' in Delhi and grabbing a bungalow in Punjab.
The AAP denied the allegations, with Atishi saying the pictures shown by Verma were fake and downloaded from Pinterest to defame Kejriwal.
This is not the first time Kejriwal has faced criticism for his residence, with a similar controversy emerging in 2025 regarding a '7-star' luxury bungalow in Punjab capital Chandigarh.
