The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its second list of 111 candidates for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, increasing the competition with the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) across all 294 seats in the state.
The list includes Rekha Patra from Hingalganj (SC), Kalyan Chakraborty from Khardaha, and Roopa Ganguly from Sonarpur Dakshin, among others.
The BJP has also nominated Nisith Pramanik from Mathabhanga, Shankar Adhikari from Chopra, Koustav Bagchi from Barrackpur, and Arup Choudhury from Kamarhati.
The second list builds on the BJP’s earlier announcement of 144 candidates, with key names including Priyanka Tibrewal from Entally and Tapas Roy from Maniktala.
Polling for the West Bengal Assembly elections will be conducted in two phases, on April 23 and April 29, with counting of votes scheduled for May 4.
