The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned a nationwide outreach to promote the Women's Reservation Bill, which aims to reserve 33% of seats in Parliament and state legislatures for women.
The outreach program will be rolled out after the bills are cleared in Parliament, with the party seeking to shed light on the benefits of the bill and its pro-women policies.
The BJP has been a long-time supporter of women's reservation and has already implemented a reservation policy for women within the organization.
The outreach program will highlight the party's efforts to empower women through initiatives such as the Ujjwala Yojna and financial aid to women in need.
The bills, which include an amendment to the Women's Reservation Act and a bill to set up a delimitation commission, will be taken up during the extended Budget session from April 16 to 18.
