Union Home Minister Amit Shah has pledged to ban polygamy in West Bengal and restore the state's industrial glory during the ongoing assembly elections.
Speaking at a rally in Kulti, Shah vowed to impose effective bans on pollution-creating sponge iron production and create job opportunities for local youths.
He also promised an 'infiltrator-free Bengal' and an end to the syndicate, mafia, and goonda raj in the state once the BJP is voted to power.
The West Bengal election will be held in two phases on April 23 and 29, amid a row over the deletion of lakhs of votes.
