Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced that all infiltrators in Assam have been identified and will be deported one by one. Shah made the statement at an election rally in Barak Valley's Patharkandi, urging voters to bring back the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to power for a third consecutive term.
He claimed that the BJP has undertaken eviction campaigns and removed 'illegal settlers' from 49,500 acres of government and forest land. Shah also highlighted the development and connectivity projects in Assam in the past 10 years and listed the 31 promises made in the BJP manifesto for the 2026 election.
The BJP has promised to make a state secretariat in Barak Valley, give land rights to tea garden workers, construct an AIIMS in Sreebhumi, give ₹3,000 to all women monthly, and construct a greenfield airport.
Shah urged voters to vote hard to ensure the deportation of infiltrators and warned that infiltrators in Delhi would get scared if the BJP wins.
