The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has requested a two-week extension to decide on reopening the investigation into the murder of former Andhra Pradesh minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy.

The case is already under CBI investigation following directions from the Supreme Court of India.

Dr N Sunitha Reddy, Vivekananda Reddy's daughter, has filed a petition seeking directions to the CBI to conduct a more comprehensive probe into unresolved aspects of the case.

The CBI had earlier examined technical evidence, including call data records, but the petitioner remains dissatisfied with the findings.

The high court has posted the case for further hearing on April 27.
