The Congress has taken a swipe at the Centre over the online leak of the highly anticipated film 'Jana Nayagan', starring actor-politician Vijay.

Congress MP Manickam Tagore alleged that the Centre was trying to intimidate the entire film industry by showing what would happen if anyone acts against it.

Tagore claimed that the leak has shaken the entire Indian cinema industry and pointed out that the movie's producer would not leak the film, but the copy taken from the Censor Board is in the hands of the Central government.

Former BJP Tamil Nadu Chief K Annamalai, however, accused the Congress of making indecent allegations and demanded a proper enquiry into the incident.

He said that a detailed probe should be conducted and strong action should be taken against those involved in the leak.
