Chhattisgarh Expands Air Connectivity with New Delhi, Kolkata Flights

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai virtually inaugurated flight services connecting Ambikapur in northern Chhattisgarh with Delhi and Kolkata, aiming to expand air connectivity and make air travel accessible.

The two flights will be operated by Alliance Air, with services to Delhi on Mondays and Wednesdays, and to Kolkata on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Ambikapur, the headquarters of Sarguja district, is expected to benefit from increased trade, tourism, and regional economic growth.

The state government has invested ₹48.25 crore in upgrading the Maa Mahamaya Airport, which now has a 1,800-meter runway to accommodate larger ATR aircraft.
