Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has announced that he will join the Cockroach Janata Party's (CJP) protest in Delhi on June 6 if Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan does not submit his resignation by June 5.
Wangchuk expressed his support for the protest, citing the need for systemic reforms in the education system, particularly in the wake of the NEET paper leak and the CBSE evaluation row.
He emphasized that the government's intentions for improving the education system, as outlined in policies like the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Viksit Bharat 2047, are commendable but their implementation has been lacking.
Wangchuk also praised CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, saying that he does not have any wrong intentions and is making a sacrifice to improve the country.
The CJP has been organizing protests demanding Pradhan's resignation, with Dipke announcing his visit to India on June 6 to stage a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
