The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced plans for a nationwide protest on June 6, calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged failures in the conduct of national examinations.

The party, which seeks to address deeper problems in the system, has invited students, youth, and parents across the country to join the protest, which will be held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

CJP spokespersons, including investigative journalist Saurav Das, political researcher Vijeta Dahiya, and former management consultant Ashutosh Ranka, said the protest was aimed at demanding accountability in the education system.

The party has outlined key demands, including the resignation of the education minister, and has claimed that the recent administrative changes in the CBSE are an 'eyewash' that do not address the deeper problems in the system.

The protest is linked to CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who is expected to return to India on June 6 and seek permission for the demonstration.

Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has also expressed his support for the protest, saying he will join Dipke if the education minister does not resign.
