The Congress and CPI(M) parties saw a decline in their vote share despite winning two and one seats respectively in the West Bengal assembly elections.
The Congress secured two seats, Farakka and Raninagar in Murshidabad district, while CPI(M) won one seat, Domkal in Murshidabad.
However, the Congress's vote share dipped from 3.1% in 2021 to 2.97% this year, while CPI(M) vote share declined from 4.8% in 2021 to 4.45% in this election.

Rebel TMC leader Humayun Kabir's Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP) won two seats in Murshidabad, highlighting the division of the Muslim vote.
