At least six people were killed and ten others injured in the collapse of a four-storey commercial building near Saket metro station in South Delhi's Saidulajab area on May 30.

A multi-agency rescue operation involving teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Delhi Fire Services (DFS), Delhi Police, and others was conducted overnight to pull survivors out of the debris.

Heavy machinery, hydraulic cutters, victim-location cameras, and sniffer dogs were used to maximise rescue efforts, with all injured rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for treatment.

The incident occurred in a densely populated locality known for paying guest accommodations, coaching centres, and student messes.

Rescue operations are expected to continue until every last missing person is accounted for, with the cause of the collapse yet to be ascertained.
