Delhi High Court judge Swarana Kanta Sharma has decided to appoint three senior advocates as amicus curiae to represent former CM Arvind Kejriwal, former deputy CM Manish Sisodia, and AAP leader Durgesh Pathak in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI's) appeal against their discharge in the excise policy case.

The move comes after the trio chose not to appear in court, citing concerns over the judge's impartiality.

The amicus will assist the court in understanding the law and facts of the case, but will not represent the accused.

The case will be heard on Friday, with the CBI set to present its arguments.
