The Delhi High Court has ordered the removal of all allegedly defamatory content linking Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri's daughter, Himayani Puri, to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein within 24 hours.
The court directed defendants to take down URLs, links, and impugned content from IP addresses in India and block access to such content within the Indian domain.
The directions came after Himayani Puri's counsel argued that their client, a New York resident, had been subjected to a 'scurrilous attack' solely because she is the daughter of a Union minister.
The court fixed August 7 as the next date of hearing in Himayani Puri's defamation suit.
