A 28-year-old property dealer, Pawan Kumar, tragically died after pulling the trigger on himself while handling a pistol for a social media reel.
The incident occurred in Dallupura village, East Delhi, on Monday.
In a disturbing video, Pawan is seen inserting a magazine into the pistol and loading the weapon, despite his cousin Himanshu's warnings against firing it.
Pawan then places the pistol on his chest, looks at the camera, and pulls the trigger, collapsing to the floor.
He was rushed to Dharamshila Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
A forensic team visited the scene, and the licensed pistol, 10 live cartridges, and the mobile phone containing the video recording were seized.
A case has been registered under section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and relevant provisions of the Arms Act, with an investigation underway.
