A water balloon fight between an 11-year-old girl and a Muslim woman in Delhi's Uttam Nagar area sparked a massive altercation, resulting in the killing of a 26-year-old man.
The incident occurred on the night of Holi on March 4 in JJ colony, where the girl from a Hindu family was throwing water balloons from her terrace.
The altercation escalated into a violent clash between two families, leaving three people from the Hindu family injured, including the victim's uncle and grandfather.
Tarun Kumar, 26, succumbed to his injuries a day after the altercation, with his family alleging he was 'waylaid' by neighbours and assaulted with bats, sticks, and stones.
A murder case has been registered and eight arrests have been made in the case, as Hindu groups like Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad seek justice for Tarun and action against those responsible for his killing.
