Delhi commuters, be prepared for another traffic hurdle. The Delhi Traffic Police has announced that New Rohtak Road will remain closed till January 31 due to ongoing cable work by Tata Power – Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL). The affected stretch runs from Kamal T-Point to Liberty Cinema, impacting traffic flow towards Paharganj. To minimize inconvenience, the traffic police have suggested alternative routes. For those heading to Paharganj or New Delhi, they recommend taking a left turn from Kamal T-Point towards Sarai Rohilla and then a right turn on Veer Banda Bairagi Marg via Rani Jhansi Road. Alternatively, those traveling from Shastri Nagar Chowk to Liberty Cinema can avoid Swami Narayan Marg and take Rani Jhansi Road. The cable work has taken up two lanes, causing heavy and slow traffic. To avoid delays, commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance, remain patient, and follow the directions of deployed personnel at key intersections. The Delhi Traffic Police has urged motorists to be cautious and consider these alternative routes to ensure a smoother commute. This advisory comes on the heels of another recent traffic snarl in the Capital, caused by the closure of the Hero Honda Chowk underpass on the Delhi-Jaipur expressway. The underpass was shut down after complaints of stones falling off its roof and damaging vehicles. As Delhi's traffic situation continues to evolve, commuters are advised to stay informed and adapt to these changes to ensure a hassle-free journey.
