Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke was assaulted on Monday as he arrived at Jaipur's Shaheed Smarak to lead a demonstration against exam paper leaks and unemployment.
Two men lunged at Dipke, pulled his scarf, and slapped him several times. His supporters retaliated, beating the attackers before handing them over to the police.
Dipke, however, remained unfazed by the incident, saying, 'I was assaulted while entering the protest site. No matter how many attacks take place, I will not raise my hand against anyone. Cowards resort to violence.'
He also urged his supporters to stay focused on their demands, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The protest drew participation from students, unemployed youth, and families affected by examination-related controversies.
A family of a student who died by suicide brought his ashes to the protest, demanding that no other student faces a similar fate.
