Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has resigned from his position, submitting his resignation to the Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru. The Congress leader expressed gratitude to the high command for the opportunity to serve the state as chief minister for two terms.
Speaking to the media, Siddaramaiah stated that it was time to make way for a new chief minister and urged the process to be carried out constitutionally, citing the constitution as their 'Dharma' and voters as their 'deities and fans'. He thanked Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge for their support.
