An unmanned drone crashed in an agricultural field in a village in Saifai, Uttar Pradesh, triggering panic among locals.

Former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav lambasted the state's BJP government for not providing prior information about the drone trial.

Akhilesh demanded an investigation and compensation for the farmer whose field was damaged.

He also took a dig at the BJP, questioning their ability to maintain an airstrip in Saifai.

The Etawah district police later confirmed that the drone's parts had been secured and there was no loss of life.
