The Election Commission of India has pledged to conduct the most transparent elections in the country's history, despite criticism from opposition parties.

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar assured that the Commission has zero tolerance for violence, intimidation, or inducement towards any elector.

As five states prepare to vote, the ECI has deployed 1,111 central observers to ensure the elections are conducted as per the Constitution.

The Commission has also reshuffled officers in poll-bound states, including West Bengal, to ensure impartiality in the elections.

Opposition parties have accused the ECI of bias towards the ruling party at the Centre, but the Commission remains undaunted, committed to providing a level playing field for all political parties.
