Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has denied reports of a 'secret' meeting with Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray. Fadnavis stated that there was no need for a secret meeting and announced action against a social media handle for spreading false information.

Fadnavis also pulled up Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad for using abusive language against the publisher of a book written by late Govind Pansare. The Chief Minister stated that the MLA's language was unwarranted and that he had been warned by his party chief and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Fadnavis also rebutted remarks made by Dhirendra Shastri regarding Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, stating that there was no documented or scriptural evidence supporting Shastri's claims. The Chief Minister also clarified a remark made by Shastri regarding the involvement of one of Shivaji Maharaj's children in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activities.
