A 25-year-old woman from Faridabad has been left shaken after a harrowing experience that began late on Tuesday night. According to her family, the victim was offered a ride by two men who claimed to be locals. However, they allegedly took turns to gangrape her inside a moving van as they drove at speeds exceeding 90 kmph. The woman, a mother of three, was thrown out of the speeding vehicle near Raja Chowk in Faridabad around 3 AM, bringing back memories of the Nirbhaya case. Police have arrested the two accused, one from Uttar Pradesh and the other from Madhya Pradesh, and sent them to judicial custody. The victim, who had been living with her parents after facing issues with her husband, suffered severe head and facial injuries, requiring over 12 stitches. She is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital, where her condition is reported to be stable. The incident unfolded on Tuesday evening, when the woman had an argument with her mother. She then went to her friend's house, took an auto-rickshaw, and walked to Metro Chowk. The two accused, who live in Faridabad, offered her a ride, allegedly taking her to a desolate stretch of the Gurgaon-Faridabad road instead of her destination. Police have seized the Maruti Eeco used in the alleged crime and are continuing their investigation into the matter. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the need for increased vigilance and support for victims of such heinous crimes.
