Fog Envelops Delhi, Bringing Relief from Pollution

A dense layer of fog enveloped parts of Delhi and neighboring regions, including Noida, on Saturday morning as the national capital continues to witness an unusual March marked by low temperatures, better air quality index (AQI), and heavy rainfall.

The air quality index stood at 94, in the “satisfactory” category, at 8 am. Air quality showed a sharp improvement on Friday, when the AQI was recorded at 93.

The India Meteorological Department said the maximum temperature is expected to rise and remain between 27°C and 29°C in the capital on Saturday, while the minimum temperature is likely to drop to between 13°C and 15°C.

The city has recorded average rainfall of 16.2 mm this month, making it the wettest March since 2023, when the average was 50.4 mm.
