Petrol prices in India have risen by ₹5.30 per litre and diesel has gone up by ₹3 per litre as Nayara Energy, India's largest private fuel retailer increased the fuel prices.

The hike comes amid concerns of fuel shortage and disruptions in global supplies triggered by the Iran-US war.

States across India are witnessing long queues outside filling stations and depots as people rush to get their vehicles refuelled.

Hyderabad reported one of the highest prices at ₹107.46 per litre, while Mumbai and Kolkata also saw prices above ₹100 per litre mark.
