A shocking twist has emerged in the murder of retired Indian Air Force (IAF) officer Yogesh Kumar in Ghaziabad's Loni. According to police, Kumar's sons orchestrated the crime out of greed for his property. The 58-year-old officer was shot dead by two unidentified bikers on December 26 while walking near Ashok Vihar. Police revealed that Kumar's sons hired contract killers, including a neighbour, Arvind, and his brother-in-law, a constable, who carried out the shooting. Arvind was arrested on Wednesday and remanded to 14 days' judicial custody. A .315 bore country-made pistol and cartridges were recovered from his possession. The police are still searching for the constable and Kumar's sons, who are absconding. The motive behind the murder was reportedly Kumar's attempt to get his sons to vacate his house, leading to a deadly dispute over property.
