Gold Worth ₹4.26 Crore Seized from Dubai-Ahmedabad Flight

Custom officials at Ahmedabad airport seized over 2.7 kg of gold worth ₹4.26 crore concealed inside an aircraft's lavatory speaker box on a Dubai-Ahmedabad flight.

The gold was hidden in black plastic tape inside the speaker box, and 24-carat gold biscuits weighing 2,799.3 grams were found.

Custom officials carried out a detailed search with the help of aircraft engineers and launched an investigation into the seizure.

The seized gold has been classified as unclaimed and confiscated under the Customs Act, 1962.
