Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij has praised the recent spy thriller 'Dhurandhar', which has been breaking box office records. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Sara Arjun, has entered the ₹500 crore club on its 15th day. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 'Dhurandhar' collected ₹23.70 crore on its third Friday, surpassing several other major blockbusters, including 'Pushpa 2' and 'Chhaava'. The film's success has been attributed to its gripping storyline, which is inspired by real-life events such as the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. In an interview, Minister Anil Vij praised 'Dhurandhar' for its portrayal of the reality of Pakistan, claiming that the film exposes the truth about the country's involvement in terrorist activities. He stated that the film shows how networks operating in Pakistan are being dismantled from within and how preparations for terrorist attacks take place in the country. The Minister's comments have sparked controversy, with some accusing him of politicizing the film. However, 'Dhurandhar' continues to remain a top choice for moviegoers, with its third Friday business being phenomenal. The film is expected to push closer to the ₹600 crore mark on Saturday and Sunday. Directed by Aditya Dhar, 'Dhurandhar' follows the story of an Indian spy, Hamza, who infiltrates Pakistan to join Rehman Dakait's gang. The film's success has been a testament to its well-crafted storyline and the performances of its cast. As the film continues to break records, it remains to be seen whether it will reach the ₹600 crore mark and solidify its place in Indian cinema history.
