The Madhya Pradesh High Court has announced plans to inspect the Bhojshala Temple-Kamal Maula Mosque complex in Dhar before April 2, amid ongoing disputes over the ASI-protected structure.
The complex has been at the center of a long-standing dispute between Hindus and Muslims, with the Hindu community considering it a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati and the Muslim side claiming it as the Kamal Maula Mosque.
As per an ASI order of April 7, 2003, Hindus are allowed to worship at the complex every Tuesday, while Muslims are permitted to offer namaz every Friday.
The High Court bench has set April 2 as the next date for the regular hearing of the petitions related to the disputed complex.
In its oral remarks, the bench stated that it would like to visit the complex and inspect it, clarifying that no party involved in the case will be allowed to be present at the site during the visit.
