The Indian Air Force (IAF) will transport question papers for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on June 21, marking a first for any national entrance examination. This move comes as authorities step up efforts to ensure a secure and error-free examination process following the original test's cancellation due to paper leak allegations.
The examination is expected to be conducted for over 2.2 million students across the country, with enhanced security protocols in place to protect the integrity of the process. National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Abhishek Singh announced the decision, stating that the IAF's involvement reflects the importance of maintaining the examination's integrity and security.
Enhanced security measures include close coordination between the police department and the district administration, with officials instructed to ensure comprehensive security arrangements at all examination centres and maintain constant vigil. The Telangana government has also reviewed preparations, with necessary arrangements being put in place for infrastructure, transportation, security, power supply, drinking water, and other essential facilities.
