Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are forecasted for the Gangetic plains of West Bengal on March 9, with other states such as Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, J&K-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Sub-Himalayan WB and Sikkim also experiencing thunderstorms.
State-wise weather updates include:
- Jammu and Kashmir: Isolated thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds, with a possibility of light rainfall/snowfall.
- Delhi: Temperatures to remain 5-8 degrees Celsius above average, with daytime temperatures between 36-39 degrees Celsius.
- Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand: Heat wave conditions, thunderstorms, and scattered light rainfall/snowfall.
- Rajasthan: Heat wave conditions in West Rajasthan.
- Gujarat: Heat waves in north Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch.
- Maharashtra: Heat wave conditions in Marathwada.
- Andhra Pradesh: Hot and humid conditions in coastal areas.
