Direct air connectivity between India and China has received a significant boost with Air China resuming its Beijing-Delhi service.

The airline will operate three times a week, using an Airbus 330 aircraft, with economy class fares starting from 3,570 yuan (USD 523).

This development comes days after China Eastern Airlines restarted its direct service between Kunming and Kolkata, and follows the resumption of flights by IndiGo between Kolkata and Shanghai.

The resumption of flights marks a significant milestone in strengthening air connectivity between India and China, which was halted since the 2020 Galwan clash and Covid pandemic.
