The Indian Embassy in Oman has dismissed a fake advisory circulating on WhatsApp, urging citizens to rely on verified sources for information.

The Embassy clarified that no such advisory was issued, and authentic updates will be shared through official social media channels.

The fake advisory claimed to be related to emergency arrangements in Muscat, advising people not to go directly to the airport and to wait for coordinated departures.

This comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with the US-Israel-Iran war causing disruptions to global shipping and the Omani navy rescuing crew members from a container ship struck by missiles.
