Defence Minister Rajnath Singh assured that India has sufficient stocks of petrol, diesel, and cooking gas to handle any crisis amid ongoing tensions in West Asia.
Singh made the statement during a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, where he said the government is continuously ensuring that no crisis arises even after two-three months.
He requested people not to pay heed to rumours about shortages and highlighted the country's economic resilience, saying India is the fastest-growing economy despite the global crisis.
Singh also praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for transforming Uttar Pradesh from a 'BIMARU' state to a 'Uttam Pradesh'.
He added that BrahMos missile production has started in Lucknow, and the first batch has been handed over to the armed forces.
