A temple and a mosque were demolished overnight in Faridabad, Haryana, to clear land for the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor.

Mobile internet, dongle, and bulk SMS services were suspended for nearly 22 hours as a precautionary measure to prevent disruption and maintain law and order.

The demolition was carried out under tight security arrangements, and the RRTS corridor is expected to have 18 metro stations along its 64-kilometre stretch, connecting Gurugram, Faridabad, and Greater Noida.
