New Delhi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat made a strong pitch for the greater promotion of Sanskrit in India, saying its increase in prevalence will enrich all other Indian languages and serve as a bridge between them.
Bhagwat addressed an event to inaugurate the newly constructed central office of the Sanskrit Bharati, saying the essence of the name 'Bharat' is not merely geographical, but a tradition that sustains life across the entire cosmos.
He emphasized the importance of understanding Sanskrit to comprehend India, stating that every language in India is a national language, but Sanskrit is the link that connects them.
Bhagwat called upon the Sanskrit Bharati to make efforts for greater promotion of Sanskrit, saying the work should progress to such an extent that every individual in India is able to converse in Sanskrit.
He added that Sanskrit doesn't replace any other language, but continues to thrive in India, serving as a unifier and bridge language.
