The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced a comprehensive security framework to prevent any possibility of a question paper leak and restore confidence in the medical entrance exam process.

The major measures taken by the agency include a temporary ban on Telegram, IAF transport of question papers, and a multi-layer monitoring system.

Other measures include keeping question paper setters in isolation, escorting papers by police and guarding them by CISF and CRPF personnel, biometric and facial recognition verification, stricter candidate verification, and a crackdown on rumours and fake leak claims.

The NEET re-exam will be held on June 21, 2026, at 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, with over 5 lakh security personnel deployed across exam centres.
