As the Iran-US-Israel conflict rages on, India has successfully secured safe passage for its ships through the crucial Strait of Hormuz. Three Indian-flagged vessels, including the Shivalik and Nanda Devi, have made it through the waterway, carrying a combined 92,700 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss the escalating tensions in the region, expressing deep concern over the loss of civilian lives and calling for dialogue and diplomacy.

Iran's Ambassador to India, Mohammad Fathali, confirmed safe passage for Indian ships, stating, 'India is our friend. You will see it within two or three hours.'

Over 20 Indian-flagged vessels remain stuck at the Strait of Hormuz, but India's efforts have yielded positive results so far. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar emphasized that every ship movement is an individual occurrence and that India does not have a 'blanket arrangement' with Iran for safe passage.
