Assembly elections in four states and a Union territory are underway in India with voting concluded or in the final leg for all of them. Results are awaited on May 4.

Voting took place in a single phase for Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry, while West Bengal voted in two phases, with the second phase scheduled for April 29.

Assam has 126 assembly seats, Kerala 140, Tamil Nadu 234, Bengal 294, and Puducherry 30.

West Bengal saw a record voting percentage on April 23 with 92.88%, while Tamil Nadu recorded 85.15%.
