Iran has come to the defense of India and China, referring to them as 'cradles of civilization' after US President Donald Trump called them 'hellholes' in a recent tweet.
The Iranian embassy in Hyderabad made the statement on X, referencing Trump's past threats to Iran, including a warning that 'a whole civilization will die tonight' if Iran did not agree to his terms to end the war that the US started and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement was made in response to a conservative talk show hosted by Michael Savage, who referred to India and China as 'some other hellhole on the planet' due to immigration patterns changing US society.
India and China are widely regarded as among the world's oldest continuous civilizations, with recorded histories and cultural development stretching back over 4,000 years.
The US is a comparatively young nation, established in 1776, making it around 250 years old now.
