YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has accused the Chandrababu Naidu-led government in Andhra Pradesh of a systematic campaign to harass and intimidate its political opponents. Speaking to reporters in Guntur district, Jagan alleged that the Naidu administration is using coercive tactics, including fabricating cases and manipulating institutions, to silence its critics. He cited several examples, including the ongoing investigation into the alleged adulteration of ghee used in making Tirumala laddu, which he claims is a 'manufactured false story' to target former TTD chairman Y V Subba Reddy. Jagan also linked the government's actions to the controversies surrounding the Tirupati laddu quality allegations and the Parakamani issue, saying that the government is distorting facts for political gain. He accused Naidu of using police and investigative agencies to 'manufacture evidence' and implicate YSRCP leaders in false cases. The YSRCP chief further claimed that the government is using the so-called 'liquor scam' as a tool to arrest opposition leaders, despite liquor manufacturing and distribution networks being controlled by those aligned with the ruling coalition. He listed several YSRCP leaders who he said are being 'irrationally targeted' as part of this campaign. Jagan also highlighted the growing public backlash against the government's decision to hand over key components of public healthcare to private entities, which he claims has resulted in the dilution of Aarogyasri and mounting arrears. He accused the coalition of gross negligence in the education sector, linking the deaths of 29 students to consumption of contaminated food and water in schools. On the agricultural front, Jagan said farmers are being denied Minimum Support Price for all major crops and are not receiving input subsidies, crop insurance, or capital assistance. He accused the Naidu government of rolling back reforms introduced during the YSRCP regime and piling up fee reimbursement dues, deepening student distress. Senior TDP leader Kollu Ravindra responded to Jagan's allegations, saying that the YSRCP chief is 'spitting venom' against the state government due to its progress under the Naidu regime.
