The Kedarnath Dham temple has imposed strict restrictions on visitors, banning the use of mobile phones, cameras, and drones within the temple premises.
As part of the Char Dham Yatra, thousands of devotees have been arriving at the shrine, despite fresh snowfall covering the township.
Authorities have advised visitors to carry heavy woollens and remain cautious while travelling in the region, due to significant snowfall this season.
The temple administration has set up a mobile counter and locker system for safekeeping of devices, and has tightened security and management arrangements across Kedarnath Dham.
Rudraprayag Superintendent of Police Niharika Tomar said that flying drones without permission is not allowed, and that action will be taken against unauthorised activities.
The administration expects large crowds in the coming days and has urged pilgrims to follow guidelines and cooperate with the administration to ensure a smooth and safe yatra.
