AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal personally argued a petition in the Delhi excise policy case, seeking the recusal of HC Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma.

Kejriwal cited Justice Sharma's attendance at four RSS-linked events, saying it raised an apprehension of bias.

He also argued that the court's observations in previous cases had amounted to judgments, and that the speed at which the current case was proceeding was concerning.

Kejriwal claimed that the court had treated the accused as 'guilty' and 'corrupt', despite their discharge, and that the judge's findings had been contrary to those of the trial court.

The court reserved its verdict on the recusal applications filed by Kejriwal and others.
