Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying he lacks the understanding of even a local party worker.
Vijayan made the comments a day after Gandhi alleged that the lack of progress in corruption cases against the Kerala CM was proof of a secret deal between the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Vijayan pointed out that Gandhi and the Congress had previously demanded the arrest of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a corruption case, and that Kejriwal was later discharged by the court.
Vijayan asked if the BJP was the only party to be 'slapped in the face' by the court's decision, and if Rahul Gandhi and the Congress were not also learning from the experience.
Gandhi had alleged that the CPI(M) and the BJP had a secret deal in Kerala, and that the lack of progress in corruption cases against the Kerala CM was proof of this collusion.
